MY STORY

I am a passionate and committed music professional, with the talent and drive to succeed. Born in Hertfordshire/England I got inspired to pick up a guitar because of bands such as Blink 182, Greenday and many more. I joined my first original/covers band at the age of 15 and we started playing some gigs.

After I had finished secondary school I chose to study Music Technology at West Herts College and completing the corse with Triple Distinctions.

In 2009 during college I joined a band called Kill The Weekend which released 1 e.p and mini album recorded at Regal House Studios, we also signed to two different indie labels in its 5 years and created a strong reputation within our local scene. We gigged and toured around the U.K and also interviews and our songs played or performed live on multiple radio stations like BBC 3 counties radio. KTW played alongside Funeral For A Friend and Skindred and have been on the line-up for Guilfest. Also being featured on BBC News after releasing their single 'Strength In Innocence' for charity.

Valens was a band formed by myself and 2 other members from KTW. We recorded our first single at Regal House Studios and filmed and released our first music video for Father I on Youtube channel called Blank TV. We were well received and built quite a substantial fanbase from this which gave us great opportunities to support bands such as Fearless Vampire Killers, A, Wheatus, Lonely The Brave and many more. We got our music played on BBC 3 Counties, Karrang Radio, Radio 1 and many more, alongside playing festivals like Camden Rocks and Croxfest. We spent 2 years writing new music and recorded an album at Outhouse Studios, The album was passed on and mastered free curtesy of professional Mastering Engineer Barry Grint who has Mastered many famous hit songs. The album was not released due to the band dispersing.

Taking this as a new opportunity I went to study Popular Music at the University Of Gloucestershire. This gave me new many new skills and new insight to what I can do and accomplish within the music industry.

I learnt how to better produce my own music for release and record and edit my own music videos for my incognito project L()NE which will be released in sometime this year with as full band.

Myself, Ben Carty and Tom Emery put together a events management team called Soundwave Studios. We organised a live event in association with charity a charity called Attitude is Everything, which all the proceeds went to. We hired a signing interpreter for the show for hard of hearing people that came to the show.

We also organised and hosted a high quality live stream gig on multiple social media platforms with a Jazz pop band called Tree Haus. Hiring a great team we were able to host the live stream like a T.V show. including cut scenes of interviewing the band between their live performance.

Looking to branch out I started looking for experience in sound design and music for games, I got contacted by a university production team called Rebel Robots and they asked if I would do the sound and music for it. I have taken a keen interest as I've always enjoyed playing games myself.

I have also focused on becoming a music tutor. I have always enjoyed passing knowledge and teaching guitar to pass students when I use to provide private guitar lessons. I plan to get my grade 6-8 this year and start a teaching teaching course.

Doing music has given me confidence and made me who I am today, it has truly given me many wonderful memories and great experiences and I'm excited for the next chapter.
